A symbol for a grand public space
Three Rivers Park
The Riverlife Task Force is a consortium of Pittsburgh leaders working to reconnect the Pittsburgh community with our rivers (forever blocked by industry and the railroads). At the heart of its efforts is the establishment of Three Rivers Park, a grand, urban-scale park along the three rivers in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh.
At the center of the Three Rivers Park logo is the shape of Fort Pitt, the 18th century outpost at the confluence of the Monongahela, the Allegheny and the Ohio. Additional graphic elements of water and leaf shapes combine to form a spirited, strong symbol that will appear throughout the park.
