Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh
A sign program enhances the experience of a major museum complex
The world-renowned Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh combine an art museum, a natural history museum, and a large-scale performance hall within a single, hard-to-navigate complex.
Together with a team of industrial and graphic designers, museum curators, and administrative staff, we devised a sign system that is visually-appealing, easy to understand, and easy to update. Tightly-cropped details of current highlights and collection favorites inspire exploration, and strategically placed signs and maps keep even the first-time visitor oriented.
