Three Rivers Park
Revitalizing Pittsburgh’s riverfront
Three Rivers Park is a grand, urban-scale park being created along the three rivers in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. Together with architectural collaborator Strada, we designed a series of ten on-trail map signs. Bridges on the maps are shown as three-dimensional illustrations, serving to immediately orient visitors to their location in the Park (there is always a bridge in sight as you walk or bike the trail). The materials used suggest Pittsburgh’s industrial heritage.
A proposed system of interpretive signs would address the river experience from many points of view.
